Vacheron Constantin, private label pocket watch made for American jewelry retailer J.E Caldwell & Co. Philadelphia. Highly adjusted watch with 16 ruby jewels; movement serial # 396,421; in American 12 size, 25 year gold-filled case, hinged with dust cover; measures 48mm wide; total weight 65.8 grams. Watch in working order, winds and runs nicely, keeping pretty good time; on the pillar plate there is some visible build up of dust/grease on/
around the barrel, winding gears/ etc.
and would therefore benefit
from a
cleaning and some fresh oil. Gold-filled case in great shape, some surface scratches present on/around dust cover; tight bow. Dial has several lines, look between 12 and 2 o'clock and by 7 o'clock in photos 11,12. The numerals on dial were painted on and glazed however the company logos were applied with some type on decal over the whole of the dial and there are some areas that have been worn off, see dial in photos 11,12. -ALL items offered for sale are preowned and in USED condition as they are vintage or antique items; therefore items are sold AS IS with understanding that there is normal wear associated with considerable usage and age. -If you choose to bid you are entering an agreement to pay for such item within 3 days of close of auction. If an item is not paid for and I have not been contacted within that 3 day period on the forth day it shall be reported to eBay as an unpaid item. Non-payment will result in a strike against the user and they shall be blocked from any future bidding. Please only bid if you are willing and able to make good on payment.
-Items will be shipped within 1 business day after receiving conformation of payment. Different providers such as USPS and UPS may be used. My goal is to get your items to you safely, therefore I ship all ceramics by priority mail. This is to reduce possible adverse outcomes due to extended postal handling; for all other items that are not made of clay, I am willing to use regular postage.
