I am pleased to offer from my private collection this rare and important historical  WWI era Central Powers Austro-Hungarian  officer's award silver,niello and gold Armada Grand-Prix pocket watch  c1914-1916.
The watch has a full hunter silver&niello case depicting a gold Austro-Hungarian coat of arms on the front case. The rear case depicting a horse.
Fine enamel dial depicting a portrait of the Austrian King Franz Joseph I.
The watch has been issued in the memory of the victorious battles in East and West 1914 and has been awarded to the Austrian pilot ace Oberst Adolf Heyrowsky.
The watch comes from his family estate.
High grade anchor chronometer movement,fully jeweled,Breguet spiral,compensating balance wheel with gold weights,ruby endstone on balance.
The watch is 53mm.
Perfect working order.
