Description

The Yamaha 481 is an intermediate flute that offers the durability of standard flutes while producing greater resonance. Features an improved scale for better intonation and an undercut, beveled embouchure hole for a clean attack, sensitive response, and accurate intonation. Improvements include a stronger post design to prevent post bending, accessible adjustment screws, improved adjustment screw material, and a body mark for proper footjoint alignment. Construction features a sterling silver headjoint, body and footjoint; nickel-silver keys and long-lasting neoprene bumpers.
The undercut and beveled embouchure hole provides the student with a clean attack, sensitive response, and accurate intonation. The low B gizmo key makes for convenient fingering and excellent response for high C. Double bladder pads
mean longer life and maximum seating, and nickel-silver, power-forged keys are less susceptible to breakage. Cork key bumpers result in quieter action and lighter touch. A unique footjoint alignment mark facilitates proper fitting by young players, and the YFL-481's ergonomic key shapes have been ergonomically designed for comfortable, natural-feeling performance. The keys are hand-assembled and adjusted for a perfect 'touch' and balance. Additionally, Yamaha's unique screw resistance inserts allow smooth adjustments while preventing gradual loosening of the screws.
