HAMILTON Van Buren grade 912 open face pocket watch - Pear shaped case and dial

Description

This Hamilton dates to 1938.
The watch is in average condition with some repairs needed.
The case is white gold filled with several mild dings to the back.
The dial shows staining in the recesses and the crystal has a 4x6mm chip by 4 o'clock. The chip is on the inside of the glass. The hands look ok and original.
The watch sets and winds smooth. It seems to run fine when face up or down, but some times stops if held vertically.
The box and original note from the Hamilton factory with matching serial numbers is included.
