Antique Late 1800s Solar Watch Co. Pocket Watch
Nice vintage pocket watch – size 18s, 7 jewel, Fahys Oresilver case. It does have some light wear to the case – see pictures. The movement has the following engraved on it: Solar Watch Co. 1865 Chicago. From research I’ve done, I do believe this to be an Elgin made watch. It does wind and run with some encouragement, but does not seem to want to keep running – it likely needs some servicing, but it seems that all the mechanical movements operate. As I am not a professional antique dealer/grader, please use the pictures to determine the condition of the item.
