    Antique NORRISTOWN PA FIRE DEPARTMENT Double Breasted Wool Overcoat TAILOR LABEL
    This auction is for a very scarce, full length wool overcoat worn by a fireman from Norristown, PA.  The double breasted coat is made of blue wool with a black fabric lining.  It  has 18 full size brass buttons on the front, 6 more on the tails, and 3 cuff buttons on each sleeve.  There is a tailor’s label on the inside from Samuel D. Crawford of Norristown, PA.  The coat was tailored for someone of slight build.  The approximate dimensions are:
    Shoulder-to-Shoulder  19 ½”
    Armpit to Cuff  18”
    Total height (collar to bottom)  44 ½”
    The fabric is in VF condition with very light wear and No moth holes noted.  I did see dents on 2 of the cuff buttons and 3 coattail buttons.   The coat weighs 5 lbs.  Please look at all the photos and ask any questions.  See my other auctions.  Combined shipping is available to save postage.
