You get an extremely reliable Norton engine. (Norton's have won a record 37 Isle of Man T.T's).
You get high performance. 0-60 in 4.8. Standing quarters in 12.8. Top speed way past 120 m.p.h.
And you get simple maintenance. Because two cylinders are naturally easier to service and tune.
