FROM ESTATE OF A LONG-TIME POCKET WATCH COLLECTOR!
A very nice antique size 16s Ball-Watltham Watch Co. Railroad Grade pocket watch. Watch Grade is Official Standard w/19 jewel, lever set movement with sapphire and ruby jewels. This watch has a 3/4 plate, openface movement with nickel finish in a concentric circle pattern. The watch adjusts to temperature and five total positions This watch has a white single-sunk dial, with a second hand register and Block style Arabic numerals and is marked "Ball Official RR Standard Cleveland". Dial displays various hairline crazing and a small chip at dial edge below second hand register. Spade and Whip watch hands have a gorgeous blue finish. The watch was manufactured circa 1906 with movement Serial Number: B216493. This watch keeps very good time. Watch winds and sets easily. Watch is encased in a Star Watch Case Co. 10K Rolled Gold plate screw back and bezel case, Serial number: 3129039. Case features a faint die engraved pattern on case back which is barely visible due to wear over the years. There is very minimal brassing on the edge of the case back and front bezel. There are light scratches visible on the crystal but not excessive considering the age and use of the watch. Watch measures 50 mm in diameter X 63 mm long (at bow) X 14.7 mm thick (crystal included). This antique Ball Official Standard Railroad Pocket Watch is in very fine mechanical condition, with many years of trouble-free service remaining.
